Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles
Section G of the SIC 7 is one of the largest in the classification, with 87 codes covering wholesale trade, retail trade and the sale, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles. The section organises these activities into three divisions: trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (Division 45, 9 codes); wholesale trade except of motor vehicles (Division 46, 37 codes); and retail trade except of motor vehicles (Division 47, 41 codes).
Codes describe activities such as new and used car dealerships, vehicle servicing, parts and accessories, fuel retailing, tyre fitment, wholesale of agricultural products, food and beverages, household goods, machinery, ICT equipment and metals, as well as retail in supermarkets, specialised stores, market stalls, e-commerce and direct selling.
